Current position: Fellow in Geriatric Medicine at Mount Sinai University Hospital

 

Career:

In 2017, he graduated from the National Defense Medical College. After completing his initial residency at the college hospital, he worked in orthopedic surgery at the Japan Self-Defense Forces Sapporo Hospital for two years. After experiencing unfortunate outcomes with his patients, he became interested in preoperative evaluation and perioperative management of elderly patients. He moved to the United States with the aim of specializing in geriatric medicine, and after completing his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Morningside & West Hospital in 2022, he is currently a Geriatric Medicine Fellow at Mount Sinai University Hospital.

 

Role at FLAT:

mainly an advisor at senior cafes.

 

Thoughts on FLAT:

I've been welcomed as an advisor to the Senior Cafe! I still have so much to learn, but I look forward to working with you all. Starting next year, I'll be beginning my long-awaited specialist training in geriatric internal medicine! I hope to build a warm community where everyone can drop by anytime.

 

Hobbies: Visiting cafes, cooking Japanese food at home, playing games (Pikmin) and exercising with my husband, skiing, table tennis
