Main testing methods
-
In the United States, there are various colorectal cancer screening options available.
Recommended age for screening
Colorectal cancer screening is recommended for all men and women aged 45-75 (and in some cases up to 85) (previously it was 50, but was lowered in 2021).
If you have a family history of colorectal cancer or are at risk for conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), you may need earlier and more frequent screenings. Please consult your doctor.
